Marjorie Flanders Johnson, 81 passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at Hospice Savannah. She was born September 29, 1928 in Adrian, Georgia to the late Chester A. Flanders, Sr. and Geneva Hutcheson Flanders. She was also preceded in death by a brother Chester A. Flanders, Jr., and sisters, Odessa Flanders and Virginia Flanders Dyal. She was retired after many years from Amusement Pros and was a longtime member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John F. Johnson, Jr., sons Gary Johnson and wife Sheila, Tim Johnson and wife Jolie, daughters, Vicki Johnson and Kim Williams and husband Bob. Grandchildren, Brian Williams, Lauren Johnson Brunson and husband Patrick, Sarah Johnson, Timothy Johnson, and Michael Johnson. Great-grandchildren, John Patrick Brunson and James Peyton Brunson. She is also survived by a brother, Donald Flanders and wife Marty, of Chattanooga, TN, sisters, Faye Dasher and husband George, of Culpepper, VA, Julia Rodrigues, and husband Jose', and Kathleen Wagner, both from Jacksonville, FL. Also many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church with The Rev. Mike Myers and The Rev. Patrick O'Brien, officiating.
Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Aunt Margie was always so loving and caring. I have many fond memories and will never forget the family reunions as she always made everyone feel welcome. She will be greatly missed but know that she is in a better place. With love always.
